the-elm's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stitches I had my stitches taken out yesterday. I was a bit scared, since I personally felt that I had endured enough pain for one year, what with the operation and all. The operation was not fun, although anasthesia is funny. I couldn't stop laughing once it began to take it's course, and the last thing I remember is struggling with the doctor's questions about my dad's occupation. For some reason that question was hilarious, and I couldn't recall whether my dad worked at all or not. Hmm.. I'm glad that's over. Tomorrow morning my fuzzy leaves, and that's a bit saddening. 8 days or so. I guess I'll live, but we'll see. Sometimes I think my parents pamper me too much, and that I don't really deserve it. Did I mention they bought me an iPod Nano at the end of my exams for the SAT score? The score wasn't even that good. Oh and I got a U in math, which means the exam was so bad the teacher couldn't bring herself to grade it. Hahahaha, I actually found that amusing. So much for my impeccable scores in school. A level math is hard, man. Since the doctor was a bit busy yesterday night, our appointment was delayed and so as I was waiting for my turn, I actually counted the number of women wearing scarves in the waiting room. 4 out of 9 women were wearing head scarves. That says something. It's weird that our society's upper middle class is so aloof from the lower middle class. There is so much disparity it's unbelievable. Basically, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer, and the youth is getting dumber. Oh and the poor can't stop themselves from reproducing. Like, on average, poor families here have 7 kids. That's crazy and doesn't make any sense, like, if you can't afford a good lifestyle, then shouldn't you try to conserve your resources by having fewer children, like 1 or 2? Hmm.. I don't know.
